United College held United Ignite 3.0 on Bhadra 11, 2083 (August 27, 2026) at Pavilion Hall, United Academy. Nine student teams from BBM, BCA, and BBS pitched their own business ideas in front of judges, faculty, and guests. The event was organized by the United Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Incubation (UCEII). 

This is the third season of United Ignite. The United Ignite first season started in 2081, and the second, United Ignite 2.0, followed in 2082. Both seasons helped students move on to bigger platforms, including Idea Studio Nepal's College Idea Hunt.

How Students Reached the Final Round

Getting to the final stage wasn't easy. In total, 28 students took part across BBM, BCA, and BBS. Most came from BBM's 6th semester, with 21 students competing there alone. One more participant joined from BBM's 2nd semester, four students came from BCA's 2nd semester, and two from BBS's 4th semester.

From this group, nine teams made it to the final round. BBM sent three teams, BCA sent four, and BBS sent two, giving a total of nine teams who pitched live on stage.

Each team got a few minutes to pitch, and then answered questions from the judges.

Meet the Judges

Three judges evaluated the pitches, and each one brought something different to the table.

Cheteze Tamang is the CEO of Act 360. He is also an alumnus of United Academy. So he understood exactly what these students were working with.

Krishna Prasad Pandey is the Founder and CEO of Dursikshya Education Network. His background in education gave him a close look at how these ideas connected to real learning.

Anupam Bhattarai works as Director of Academic and Technology Innovation at Idea Studio Nepal. His presence linked United Ignite to Nepal's most well-known startup pitching platform.

Winners of United Ignite 3.0

After all nine pitches and a round of feedback, three teams came out on top.

1st Place: Kapa-Kriti (BBM)

Jenisha Bajracharya and Jashmine Mali took first place. They won NPR 15,000 along with a certificate.

2nd Place: Chhano (BBS)

Aabha KC, Monalika Poudel, and Roshni Tolange placed second and won NPR 10,000 with a certificate.

3rd Place: E-Tech (BCA)

Sukriti Shrestha, Sujina Maharjan, Sneha Shrestha, and Salina Dhakal placed third. Their prize was NPR 5,000 and a certificate.

Founder Chairperson Dripa Chamling and Founder Academic Director Dr. Kabi Raj Bantawa announced the results. Principal Dr. Lal Rapacha then formally closed the program.

Mentors Behind the Ideas

None of these teams built their pitch alone. Each faculty had its own mentor guiding students through the process.

BCA teams worked with Seema Shahi and Rabina Duwal. BBM teams were guided by Ganesh Joshi. And BBS teams had support from Dr. Binod Lingden, who also serves as Research Coordinator at United College.

This is how UCEII works. Every student pitch gets paired with a mentor early on, so ideas get sharper before they ever reach a judge.

Program Highlights

The program opened with a formal chairing session. Dr. Lal Rapacha, Campus Chief of United College, led it alongside Founder Chairperson Dripa Chamling and Founder Academic Director Dr. Kabi Raj Bantawa.

Deputy Director Manasvi Bantawa also joined, along with campus Academic Head and Spokesperson Basant Nepali and Graduate Program Director and UCEII Head Mahesh Aryal. Operations Manager Mana Basnet was present too.

After the panas lighting and the national anthem, the nine finalist teams took turn in pitching. Judges gave short feedback after each round, and then the results were announced.

United Ignite 3.0 shows that UCEII keeps building on what it started. With 28 students taking part across BBM, BCA, and BBS, and ideas ranging from fashion to tech to sustainability, students are getting real chances to test their business thinking early, with mentors by their side the whole way.
